Who is "Verne's Visuals?"

Hey y'all! Where as my first name is Joël, I chose to have my middle name represent me. I am originally from Brooklyn, New York, but now call Houston, Texas home. I am a photo and videographer that specializes in portraits, weddings, events, healthcare and creating quality engaging content for businesses.

I was always intrigued by photography, mostly from high school and my brother's first Nikon D3100. I would tinker with it (on auto lol,) but never got to understanding the power it possessed. Even when I saved my financial aid refund to buy one, I was still very much just doing "stuff." I eventually got a D3400 around 2016, and committed myself to not just understanding the camera, but the fundamentals of photography altogether. To build on photography, my attention then gravitated to videography. Videos have such a profound impact on how moments are told and I love to do just that.

I have shot many cameras, but one thing that I have grown to learn and appreciate is the story that I am able to help tell. I pride my work on evoking to the best of people and businesses tell their story.

Soooooooo.... What is my Style?

Glad you asked! It varies, sometimes I'll make the photos pop to illustrate the vibrance of the moment. Other times, I will give a calmer tone to invite my viewer to feel the moment. Photography is emotional just as it is visual.

For your videos, you can expect for your end result to reflect the goal. Weddings, I will be sure to capture all of the special moments that will make the day last a lifetime. For your business, I will ensure to capture the finite details that separates your business from the rest. For your travels, I will capture engaging footage to draw the envy of all who watch.

In short, whether you need an engaging reel, a recap, a commercial or something in between, it is my priority to make your vision real.

What can you expect?

If nothing else, fun! I am to make the time in front of the camera as pleasant, engaging and comfortable as possible. I get everyone isn't a model, and truthfully, you don't have to be! You just have to be YOU! I pride my work on detail and ensuring the quality stands out EVERY. SINGLE.TIME.

I can also bring your vision to life with a video to capture your most important moments. Whether it be a wedding, party, baby shower or just you wanting to treat yourself, I will with detail.

Do I travel?

Though I am based in Houston, Texas, my work locations are wherever the client needs me to be. I travel to all 50 States and territories, as well as ANY continent I am requested to be!
